Read these great articles about cats with FIV at Best Friends and Neighborhood Cats websites.
Cubby was trapped at a city dump and taken to be neutered and vaccinated.  He tested positive for FIV but when the trapper realized he was tame, she just could not put him back out at the dump.  He is 15 pounds of sweetness--just has to be right next to you all the time and if you sit down, he will be in your lap.  He has a very loud purr and will love you to death.
Jewels was destined for death row but she had such a great personality that she endeared herself to the staff at the shelter.  Even when they discovered that she was FIV positive, they could not bear to euthanize her.  She is happy, outgoing, playful and ready for her new home.  She has been spayed, vaccinated and has a chip and is approximately 1 year old.
Miss Miley is a gorgeous 1-year old torti female that is super loving and affectionate.  She is a lap cat but was dumped at  the part in Loudon County where she was left to fend for herself.  She had to have been someone’s companion because she loves everybody.  Miley has FIV but is showing no signs of the disease.  Her adoption fee has been paid which includes spay, vaccinations, flea treatment and microchip.
Mr. Crinkles is a wonderful 2-year old boy--sweet, healthy and quite a character!  No, he is not a Scottish Fold--his ears were severely damaged by ear mites but they have been treated and are gone now.  He found himself at a high kill shelter and when he tested positive for FIV wasn’t given a chance to go to the adoption floor.  Lucky for him, a rescuer saw him and took him home.  He is very sweet and loves to play.  He is neutered, up to date on all of his shots and has a chip.  If you give him a chance you won’t regret it!
We’re FIV positive and we’re adorable!
