Under all that gruffness Melee just wants to be in a lap. He purrs easily and will "make biscuits" as he waits for pats. He is really enjoying this easy indoor life and has decided not to go back. Melee is FIV+, but that doesn't mean he can't live a normal long life. Because FIV is transferred through mating or deep bite wounds, he is also unlikely to pass it to other cats he lives with.
