Buckbeak came to FFF after being returned to the mean streets of Knoxville as a community cat. Having no business living life outdoors, he landed with us! Long story short, we’ve learned that Buckbeak is probably between 10-15 years old and has kidney disease. What does this mean? He ideally should be on a special diet and get fluids twice a week. Luckily, Buckbeak doesn’t mind his kidney diet, and he couldn’t care less about getting his fluids! It’s an easy process that most people can do safely in their homes with a bit of training. Because we know Buckbeak is older and will require vet care, FFF is willing to pay for his medical expenses related to his kidneys. Pretty great, right? What’s even more great is that Buckbeak is an all-around amazing cat. He’s a quiet fellow until it’s time for dinner, and then he’ll meow at you until you put down his plate of wets! He likes to pad around the house and check out what everyone is doing, although he doesn’t ever really get involved. Buckbeak does well with other cats and cat-savvy dogs too! He even comes with a cat-sized sofa which he enjoys sleeping and lounging on. If you’ve been looking for a companion who requires a little bit of totally manageable extra care, look no further!
