Meet two-year-old Rosie Tate! Rosie is an absolute doll with her friendly, curious personality accompanied by her tiny meow-chirps. As soon as she sees you, you’ll hear her motor start up. Rosie loves to nap in the sunshine with the resident dogs and cats in her foster home, who are all special cat-savvy. Special, you say? That’s right - Rosie’s hind end is largely paralyzed, so she’s unable to use her back legs or use a litter box. There was an accident when she was a kitten, and she ended up under a rocking chair with devastating results compounded by a lack of vet care. Because she doesn’t know when she has to use the bathroom, Rosie’s forever family will have to learn to express her or have her wear diapers. And honestly, once you learn how to take care of her, it’s like having a dog - you just keep her on a schedule just like you’d have a schedule to take your dog outside. She’s currently on a schedule in her foster home and rarely has accidents! And a few positive things about having a cat like Rosie? No litter tracked everywhere! No cat on the countertops! And endless gratitude for rescuing her! We’re working with another rescue to find Rosie’s forever family, and we’d love to talk to you more about adopting this beautiful girl. If you’re interested in learning more, send us a PM or apply to adopt her online at feralfelinefriends.org!
