We were contacted about a cat in distress and found Buckaroo in terrible shape. The odds were definitely against him. He was bleeding from hole in his scrotum, possibly caused by a botfly. He was severely underweight (5.8 lbs), dehydrated, matted, covered in fleas, flystrike, full of round worms and suffering from an upper respiratory infection.
We bathed him, cut out his mats, and our good friends at Riverside saved his life. He has doubled his weight and his medium long coat is growing back He is a beautiful boy who purrs for pets. He is still on the shy side, but will push his head into your hands for love.
Buckaroo is FIV+ but fine to live with other cats who are not.
