Anchor showed up at WVLT looking for help, and the crew there gave it to him. They fed him, tried to track down an owner, and when one of them brought him to the local intake facility, the answer was less than desirable: TNR was all they could offer a nine-month-old kitten who clearly wanted to be inside with people. Luckily FFF had space. Anchor is now safe in foster care, and the two facts do not fit in the same sentence: this cat was almost released back outside, and this cat cannot stop walking toward humans for pats. Photographing him is nearly impossible because he closes the distance the second a camera comes out.
He is completely human focused, more interested in laps than other cats, though he does fine with friendly feline housemates. Give him the fish toy and he becomes a stone-cold predator, fully convinced he killed it with his own paws. He puffs up like a Halloween decoration and growls at the foster dogs, who have not so much as glanced in his direction, so the standoff is entirely one-sided. He'd likely do well with kids.
Anchor spent some amount of time as a stray being fed by strangers because no one else stepped up. Now he just needs someone to make it permanent.
