Arlo and Jack were rescued as strays living in a junkyard, surviving on whatever they could find. Lots of cats are in similar spots, but they also have cerebellar hypoplasia, or “wobbly kitten syndrome” which means their brains didn’t develop properly affecting their motor skills. Arlo’s condition is mild, while Jack’s is moderate. We have no doubt they wouldn’t have survived living outdoors, unable to defend themselves and struggling to live on their own. Jack and Arlo don’t know that they’re any different than other cats, but they do know that they’ve been given a paw up in life since coming indoors! They’ve learned to love Churus, cat huts, and ribbon toys. Because of their mobility issues, they don’t use a litter box but instead use pee pads (no litter all over the house!). Because of how they grew up, they’re very leery of human touch but they’re super interactive with other cats and are always out and about in their foster home. They’ll also come “running” when they hear the treat jar or other cats playing with a laser. They’re also fine with cat-savvy dogs! Adopting Jack and Arlo is giving a home to two cats that didn’t stand a chance!
