Django grew up outdoors near an apartment complex, where everyone wanted to catch him — but he was too afraid to let anyone close. He spent his whole life scrounging for food around the dumpsters and taking meals from kind residents who looked out for him. After three patient months of daily feeding, he was finally trapped and brought to safety he’s been learning just how good the indoor life can be.
At first, Django was hissy and uncertain, but once he realized he was safe, he revealed his true personality: a sweet, affectionate boy who loves pets, playtime, and a reliable dinner schedule. He’s still gaining confidence but his progress has been incredible. He loves pom-poms, toy mice, and spinning ball track toys, and when he’s done playing, he’s usually found snoozing in a sunny window or tucked into a cozy cat cave. He might hide at first but once he adjusts he greets people with purrs and happy trills, flops over for tummy rubs, and enjoys hopping onto the sofa or bed for attention.
He’s still gaining confidence and sometimes shows a little “spicy side” when he feels cornered or uncertain, so he’d do best in a home without small children or dogs, but is very friendly other cats. He would love a friendly feline buddy close to his age who likes to snuggle, play, and wrestle. And with time, he’s learning that human hands bring only kindness, and that people mean safety, warmth, and love.
