Elko and her sister Henderson and brother Sparks are super special kittens. What’s so special about them? They all three have cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), or wobbly cat syndrome. CH is a rare neurological disorder that affects a cat's balance and coordination. It occurs when the cerebellum, the part of the brain that controls these functions, doesn't develop properly. They are totally normal kittens… except they wobble! Elko’s mobility is the least affected, although you’ll definitely see her wobble her way to where she’s going. She’s definitely got her momma’s sass… just look at the face! Elko has already learned to lean up against things to help steady herself, and she usually stands to eat although she sometimes topples over. She also uses a litter box consistently with a lower front lip so she can get in and out. Elko is an independent girl who would be fine adopted on her own in a home with another friendly, calm feline.
