Hawthorn was trapped during a routine TNR operation after she wandered up for pats from the trapper. She was quickly snatched up and taken to be spayed. During the surgery, we realized she was suffering from pyometra which is a life-threatening infection of the uterus. Getting Hawthorn spayed literally saved her life! And she’s been saying “thank you” to us ever since by being the sweetest cat ever! Hawthorn will roll over on her back and rub her entire body against you for attention. She gives the best head butts and will softly purr the entire time. Hawthorn is fostered with cats and dogs, and while she prefers the company of humans, she does fine with felines and canines that are indifferent to other pets.
