Lana Turner was originally adopted from FFF as a tiny little kitten, but sadly her adopter dumped her in a carrier behind a school years later. Why? We have no idea, but it’s clear Lana didn’t have the life we intended her to have. Luckily for her, though, she’s ready for another chance at a forever family! Lana isn’t what we’d describe as shy, but she’s definitely quirky and will run when approaches. At the same time, though, she loves having her tummy rubbed! But only when she’s lounging… not all the time. Lana does appreciate affection and likes to be petted but only when she approaches you. She also loves to sleep on top of or smushed up next to her humans. And she LOVES lasers and feather wand toys. She does well with confident cats and will buddy up to them for attention and snuggles, but she tends to be a bit of a bully to less confident cats. Full of contradictions, right? Lana alap acquired Plasma Cell Pododermatitis (Pillow Foot) in her previous life. It caused swelling in her nose and foot pads, and she had a slew of dental issues and will always have gingivitis. After MONTHS of treatment, we weren’t able to reduce the bump on her nose completely and suspect she will always have it to some degree, but her paws look so much better and her teeth were addressed too! She’ll need to be on a special diet for the rest of her life, and her foster momma can talk to potential adopters about Lana and her ongoing needs.
