This 1.5-year-old 10-pound girl somehow found herself begging for food at a high school walking track. As she followed the walkers, staying out of the way on the left side day after day, they started affectionately referring to her as “Left Lane Lucy.” A couple of people were happy to leave food for her when they saw her, but no one could consistently take responsibility for her. We were contacted as the weather was turning cold and she needed a better home than the high school. Left Lane Lucy (also referred to as Big Lucy, and sometimes just Lucy) is a friendly, affectionate girl who is ready to get out of the cold forever in a new home. She is an easy going girl, unless she is “hollering” for attention or for you to hurry with the wet food, as she loves to eat. Lucy has a brown mackerel tabby coat, big green eyes, and loves to play with her toy mice.
