Thankfully the "fix" is to remove the uterus. Her uterus was able to be removed intact during her spay surgery, releasing none of the bacteria and she is feeling so much better. Mochi was so lucky we happened to rescue her when we did. She's hoping her luck continues by being adopted into a forever inside home. She is not looking back to the hard life of survival she was living previously. Mochi is adjusting well in foster but can be initially wary of new experiences. She loves pets, so winning her over is easy. All it takes is a little patience.
