Mulan is a beautiful blue-eyed sealpoint Siamese who was discovered living across from a campground in the woods. Daily she crossed a busy road to try to find food in the dumpster at the front of the campground. When a permanent resident noticed her there, they started feeding her cat food near the dumpster. Concerned she was at risk for getting hit by a car, they worked very hard to trap her.
We have had her in foster since February. Mulan has come a long way in foster care. Where she was previously hissing and very frightened of people, she now welcomes pets with purrs. Mulan will even reach for a hand pulling it to her for belly rubs. When she's comfortable, she also enjoys being held on a lap.
We are super encouraged by the progress this beautiful cat has made in foster care. But she still has a ways to go. She frightens easily & will hide under the bed when she is scared. She will also swat if she feels afraid. We know Mulan is on her way to becoming a great cat, but will need a family who understands she still needs time to adjust. She would do best in a quiet home, without small children, and with an experienced previous cat owner.
