Scooch was rescued as a two-week-old kitten whose momma had just been hit by a car while carrying him across the street. He had a nasty wound from the accident, and it left him paralyzed from his mid-back down. Because of this, he… well… scooches! Admittedly Scooch isn’t super mobile, but that doesn’t stop him from motoring (in his own way) towards the wet food. He’s also VERY passionate about being petted and held. Scooch would spend 23 hours a day in someone’s lap if you’d let him! On a recent vacation, Scooch’s paws barely touched the floor because he was passed from human to human. The major downside to his paralysis is that Scooch can’t control when he goes to the bathroom, so he needs to be expressed. He’s on a three-times-a-day schedule now (7-8am, 5-6pm, and 10-11pm), and he goes very easily with expressing. But the positive note - no litter box to clean! Seriously, though, if you have a dog, they have to be let out multiple times a day, and Scooch is no different… kind of. His foster momma has met few cats as sweet and friendly as Scooch, and we know his sparkling personality will make his forever family fall in love with him. Interested in learning more about Scooch?
