Messier, whose name is derived from several black holes discovered by the French astronomer of the same name, was named such due to his adorably messy appearance when he first arrived; his generally haphazard attitude while playing and exploring now has proven that name to still be apt! He once tried to climb up a table to get a better view of me scooping the litter box, and then slipped and fell almost directly into the dirty litter trash can. When he’s tired out from playing, he’s also a big cuddler, and loves to find a warm human to lay on. He has been introduced to a dog through a gate and did hiss a little, but we think he could be slowly introduced to a cat savvy dog.
