Meet FFF’s first rescue of 2024… Taz! One of our trappers got a text about a cat who had been sitting in a yard all night in the same spot. Temps overnight were in the twenties, and there was frost on the grass this morning. Any normal cat would have sought warmth, but when Taz tried to move, he just walked in circles. When one of our trappers caught him, the tire track on his head told the story of what happened. The car knocked out some of his teeth on the right side, and what fragments were left are necrotic. His head was swollen and he’d lost vision. After some dental work, neutering, and lots of pats and cuddles, Taz has made a remarkable recovery and is now ready for adoption! He’s a sweet boy who loves attention from his humans. He’s mastered the art of head-butting and will happily purr when you pat him. He seems to do well with any creature he meets too!
