Yuri spent many hard months living outdoors near a feral colony, always just out of reach. He was cautious and elusive, never letting anyone get too close — until one day, patience paid off, and he was finally trapped and brought to safety. At first, he didn’t trust people at all… but once he realized he was safe and fed, we discovered something remarkable: Yuri already knew what love felt like. He rolled onto his back for tummy rubs, leaned into gentle pets, and started to purr like he’d been waiting to remember how.
He’s still learning to trust completely, but every day he grows braver and more relaxed. Yuri now hops up onto the sofa and bed for attention, enjoys curling up in cozy cat caves, and loves snuggling with his feline friends. Yuri loves other cats and feels most at ease with a calm feline friend by his side. He’s FIV-positive, but with good care and an indoor home, he can live a long, healthy, happy life. With patience, encouragement, and consistency, he’s sure to continue blossoming into an even more confident, affectionate cat.
